Investigate work related fatalities and/or catastrophic injuries; determine violations of criminal law; gather evidence to support criminal prosecution.

Conduct investigations into allegations of abuse and unprofessional conduct against CNAs, HHAs and CHTs.

Field work to include on site inspections to determine if facilities are providing a safe and healthful environment for clients/residents in care in state licensed assisted living facilities. Determine if facilities are remaining in compliance with licensing standards to include Title 22 California Code of Regulations and Health and Safety Code. Investigate complaints, analyze allegations and determine if there are violations of regulations. If no violations, provide technical assistance. If violations have been determined, cite and evaluate for civil penalties. Document all field visits and interviews on written reports. Caseload management. Make recommendations regarding appropriate administrative actions. During the course of on-site inspections, interview: facility staff, clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and residents with diagnosis of dementia. Review and interpret individual program plans, facility program plans and medical records. Cross report with Ombudsman, law enforcement, public health and Regional Center. Provide education and conduct presentations to stake holders and providers.

Prepare 16 hour presentation and instruct on Domestic Violence to the POST (Police Officer Standard and Training) basic law enforcement, Fish and Game and State Parks academies.
