Starting from my undergraduate education, I have been interested in working in the field of autism. My practicum project allowed me to work with industry professionals to create a social competence curriculum for autistic adolescents. I later worked on several IES grants to support the growth and dissemination of this curriculum in both face to face and virtual settings. Throughout the last six years of my career, I have improved the transition process for young autistic adults by offering a variety of trainings for different audiences (parents, advocates, teachers, etc.) and creating tools and supports for individuals. I am also able to increase the quality of life for young adults through the post-secondary program, STRIVE, at the University of Missouri's Thompson Center. I love working with and learning from the young adults in the program.I recently was awarded with the Lee Henson Access Mizzou Award in recognition of achievements in promoting accessibility at the University of Missouri
