● Complete admission assessment/pre-operative preparation for a multi-specialty surgical center● Provide PACU/Post-op care, discharge planning and patient/ family education (re: drains, dressings, equip)● Demonstrates clinical performance, knowledge and teaching to promote and foster quality patient care and customer satisfaction

● Manage up to 8 Operating Rooms in fast paced hospital based ambulatory surgery center● Coordinate staff scheduling including preceptors and training for 60+ employees● Contribute to Quality Improvement data analysis, evaluates operational process flows under the direction of department leaders● Audit chart and billing records to ensure proper use of time, supplies and personnel● Circulate operating rooms providing patient care and physician support

● Assist Physicians during office procedures, perform clinical assessments● Provide pre, peri and post-op education to patients and family● Schedule surgery and coordinate needs for surgical case instrumentation, supplies, and equipment

● Direct management of surgical center, including hiring and coordination of staff scheduling ● Order capital purchases and surgical equipment and supplies ● Act as a member of the Credentialing committee for physicians ● Circulate and support in procedures as determined by the needs of the schedule

● Provide total nursing care from waiting area to completion of surgery ● Circulate surgical suites, room preparation, documentation, administration of meds and assisting anesthesia with patient care● Educate patient and families on procedure and health management post-surgery● Perform as Charge Nurse on assigned shifts

● Implement, direct and document nursing process practices in a safe environment● Focus on highest quality and standards of patient care● Assess patient status and needs in acute care and post-op setting● Collaborate with physicians and ancillary staff regarding changes to patient care and appropriate discharge planning● Perform as Charge Nurse on assigned shifts
