Maintains the Congressman's official schedule, travel plans, and related records, while acts as a liaison for the Congressman with the staff and the public.Responsibilities for all scheduling-related matters include: preparing the daily schedule and monthly projected schedules for the Congressman, scheduling staff meetings and briefings involving the Congressman, preparing detailed itineraries for the Congressman, and coordinating the scheduling of press, interviews, radio and television time with the Communications Director. The scheduler acts as a liaison between the Congressman and other Members, committee staff, and government offices and agencies to arrange for the Congressman's attendance at meetings. Other duties entail coordination of congressional district events with participants from the district and the legislative and/or district staff.
