I serve as a licensed professional counselor with nine years of experience in a direct psychiatric setting serving a broad range of clients. I have extensive experience in administering and interpreting psychological assessment measures, providing health psychiatric services, performing outpatient counseling services, handling clinical crises, and participating in multidisciplinary care coordination. In 2016 I earned my Masters of Science Degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from the University of South Carolina Aiken with a clinical and research focus in health psychology. I currently serve as a full-time bariatric counselor within the Prisma Health Department of Surgery as well as an independent clinician in a private practice role and an independent contractor for the State of SC. I believe in a biopsychosocial approach to assessment and treatment, acknowledging that biology, psychology, and socio-environmental factors all contribute to overall well-being. As required by state law, I have received education and training in individual, group, couples, and family assessment and therapies.
