I am a social media operations leader who is passionate about the human elements of content creation: community, education, team-building, servant-based leadership, and support of all peoples, especially those targeted by bigotry and negatively impacted by systems of privilege and oppression. ---In my 8+ years as a community manager, community content moderator, and live chat moderator, I have worked with numerous content creators and brands, large and small, to curate their communities to be hubs of support, love, diversity, and genuinely kind interactions. We created many community-building and strengthening initiatives from weekly movie nights to community game servers to fundraisers for amazing charities like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.While working in content creation and social media, I have had the honor of being the caregiver to both my father and late mother. My work as a caregiver has arguably been the most precious role I've ever filled as I had the ability to improve my mother's quality of life in her final years, something many people don't get the chance to do. In this role, I expanded on my organization skills, my comfortability with adapting to new situations, and became a strong multi-tasker.Prior to my work in social media, I was a live-in nanny for newborns to teens and offered prenatal and neonatal support to pregnant parents. My role allowed me a lot of development of skills I now use heavily in my social media role: patience and tolerance, primarily! I can directly thank my work as a nanny for my aptitude at conflict resolution and my empathetic communication style.Outside of work I spend time developing recipes, writing, gardening, gaming (tabletop and video), and strengthening my relationships with friends, family, and my girlfriend. I'm a passionate activist for youth and animal welfare, environmentalism, and LGBTQ+ and human rights. I am a rescue dog and cat mother, an avid fan of nerdy media, and a life-long learner.
