I am passionate about blending learning and technology. I enjoy helping others overcome their fear of using technology in the classroom. Now that we are in such uncertain times in education and corporate learning, this is no longer a nicety but a necessity.I have recently completed my contract as a Librarian at York Junior High School and relocated to the Dallas area. I am interested in finding a position that merges my science and librarian backgrounds. I enjoy creating an environment where both staff and students are confident that I am willing and able to help them with anything, even if it may require a little research.A few of my career highlights include: • I have been enthusiastic in creating pathfinders for projects, supporting technology integration by teaching specific Web 2.0 tools to classes upon teacher request, establishing and implementing the technology integration plan for the school, providing hardware maintenance support, being responsible for the technology budget, maintaining the inventory of equipment, and scheduling resources and spaces in the school.• I helped develop lessons in research that used a variety of resources, but also lessons involving document cameras, student-created videos, other Microsoft Office software, and a variety of Web 2.0 tools.• I enjoy troubleshooting systems and delivering technical support to end users (I make it less scary). • I redesigned the format and content to reflect accessibility standard and encourage student and parent engagement for school websites. • I partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop strategy and implementation plans to improve staff and student experience.• I love to learn and exhibit strong knowledge of various technology and serve as the go-to person for consulting staff on new programs and technologies. • I quickly learn advanced concepts and technologies, and train colleagues and team members on new technologies.Tools used:Canvas | Camtasia | Wordpress | Adobe Creative Suite | Google Suite | Microsoft Office | Zoom | WebEx
