An ambitious and creative 9 year old, I organized my very own holiday gift wrapping business in the winter of 1999, taking my first stab at entrepreneurship. My marketing campaign involved colorful flyers that I hand-delivered to each front door in my neighborhood. A resourceful business thinker, I recruited my friend from down the street to be my partner so that I could double my network and output while sharing some of the profit. With some angel investor supplies from my mom, I launched my start-up in our family's media room. That Christmas I bought my parents and big brothers a thoughtful gift with my hard-earned income, proud to have financial independence at the store checkout line.There is no doubt I have had an entrepreneurial spirit since a very young age, but practical business experience is only half the equation. I value formal education and exercise the practice of being a lifelong learner. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in three short years and my Masters degree in less than two.It was instilled in me at an early age by my athlete-turned-entrepreneur father and mother who is an educator, to have the hustle of an athlete, the spirit of an entrepreneur, and the curiosity of a student.
