• Oversee all aspects of nutrition access programs at eight Los Angeles farmers’ markets, including the use of Calfresh/SNAP, WIC, Market Match and FVRx (Fruit & Vegetable Prescription program). Manage hiring, staffing, training and evaluation implementation for farmers’ markets incentive programs (Market Match). Create program budgets; maintain monthly invoicing, tracking expenses and staffing per requirements of state, federal and private funders of programs; collect and aggregate program data for internal use and sharing with grant partners on weekly/monthly/quarterly as needed. Create and manage local campaigns for the promotion of nutrition access programs through key partnerships. Identify potential obstacles and implement strategies for streamlining funding sources to create seamless experience for customers at SEE-LA farmers’ market sites. Ongoing grant opportunity research, proposal writing, and grant reporting for SEE-LA programs related to state, federal and private foundations.• Cultivate community partnerships and stakeholder relationships via professional affiliations. As chair of Los Angeles Food Policy Council “Farmers’ Markets for All” working group, led group of participating stakeholders and organizations to recommend and ultimately adopt policy change to government officials to affect local farmers’ markets and positively impact nutrition availability for underserved communities in Los Angeles city and county; create recommendations and support positions for legislation to impact statewide legislation and create media promotions to increase opportunities for farmers’ markets as well as increase nutrition access to farmers’ markets to communities throughout the state, via work in the California Alliance of Farmers’ Markets Alliance Steering Committee.
