In this new role for SCS Communications, I manage large-scale communications campaign strategy to improve public perception, market share, and community advocacy. I manage art direction of social & video storytelling, social media strategy, design of all marketing collateral, and conceptualizing long-term perception campaigns like the SCS is 901 campaign (scsis901.org), the SCS ArtsMatter campaign (scsartsmatter.org) and our Public Relations Organizer program (PROs) that empower our school-based staff (200+) to be communications leaders in their schools. I am also responsible for strategic partnerships with nonprofits, media outlets, and businesses to increase community support.

I helped to convene the Memphis region of the The Tennessee Educational Equity Coalition and created a strong core set of nonprofit and educational partners that I managed through the National Civil Rights Museum. Specifically, I designed a large-scale community education campaign around the Every Student Succeeds Act and trained hundreds of advocates on the new law. The Coalition is convened by Conexión Américas, a non-profit organization in Nashville that serves the Latino community.

As the Strategic Communications Manager, I had the privilege of telling the inspiring stories of our nonprofit members and the wonderful work they do every day. I design and create all of our print collateral, our social media presence, and our web voice. In this role I founded the first-ever Memphis Giving Tuesday campaign, Grit Grind Give, which has raised over a million dollars for nonprofits since its inception.

Leading Educators is a nonprofit organization that empowers teachers to lead from the classroom through a 2 year comprehensive professional development Fellowship. As the Program Manager I am responsible for ensuring our Fellows receive a high quality experience during their time with LE.

Seeding Success is a diverse cross sector partnership dedicated to improving academic outcomes for children through collaboration and the effective use of data.I established first time communication norms, created collateral, managed our social media and online presence, and authored and designed our email communications. I spearheaded the look, content, and layout of our website and authored, scripted, storyboarded, and voiced over this video to help promote us which was animated by Prodigi Arts.

I design curriculum and train our members and staff on important issues that Stand undertakes as well has help them master necessary skills. I am also responsible for the development of our leaders as they volunteer with our organization.

Stand for Children is a grassroots advocacy non-profit that works with parents, teachers, and the community to keep the informed and active in the decisions made in public education in their community. We are the children's union.

Freedom Preparatory Academy, A BES charter school, has been open since 2009 and serves 6th-8th grade. As the Systems Coordinator, I handled many logistical, HR, and administrative duties such as designing a library, screening potential candidates, and planning an extensive out-of-town trip for the students. In addition to those duties, I taught theatre and substitute taught.

I taught 9th grade English, Theatre, and assistant coach volleyball at Craigmont High School.
