I was a part of the hospitality department, and we were in charge of maximizing guests experiences at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium (home of Winter the dolphin, and location for the major motion picture Dolphin Tale.) I give presentations on numerous different aspects of the facility and its mission of preserving our marine life and environment while inspiring the human spirit through leadership in education, research, rescue, rehabilitation, and release. I did specific presentations on some of the resident animals like Winter, our stingrays, and our striped burrfish. At the downtown facility Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure as well as the Aquarium I presented different games for guests to get involved in such as the sea turtle nesting game, or movie trivia. I also manned different stations throughout both facilities including but not limited to Touch Tank, the Hurricane Experience, Stranding Deck, Winter's Gel, etc. This was a seasonal position and I have learned invaluable knowledge from my time at the aquarium and all of the wonderful staff, volunteers, and interns made it a fantastic experience.
