Responsible for leading, developing, management and implementation of a range of commissioning strategies, policies and plans on specific adult social care service areas to ensure best commissioning practice is applied. To develop, contract manage and quality assure a range of complex services. Effective line management, nurturing and developing 2 members of staff. The contract management and quality improvement of 5 Extra Care Schemes, advocacy services and specialist Learning Disability carer support services. Responsible lead for the redesign, procurement and mobilisation of 3 PFI and 5 Non-PFI Extra Care Schemes and Mental Health Assessors to support the DoLS process. Secured in excess of £1.4m of savings across a range of contracts. Effectively developed of a range of governance reports, business cases, options appraisals, service reviews, specifications, partnership agreements and exemptions. Responsible lead the project to charge self-funders for the brokering of their care and support.

Contract management and quality improvement of Advocacy services, Non-PFI Extra Care and Intermediate Care provision, including leading on the service review and subsequent decommissioning of the intermediate care provision. Effectively managed a caseload of individuals requiring a social care assessment. Completing all appropriate assessments within the correct legal frameworks, ensuring that care plans were completed and outlined the support identified for each individual within statutory timescales. To review social care support and ensure that advice and information was provided as appropriate. As part of a project, I lead on the development and redesign of the new Adult Social Care front door – First Contact, the design and implementation of the Care Act 2014 within Adult Social Care processes and procedures. I designed and delivered training to Adult Social Care in relation to Care Act compliance and represented the Council at regional Care Act sessions.
