Ever since I was a kid, I have known I wanted to work with technology. Grant it, the military is something I have always wanted to do as well. In 2016, I decided to enlist in the United States Air Force under an open mechanical contract to get straight to the service and help accomplish one of my long-time life goals. During my what will be 7 years of service, I have learned self-sacrifice, attention-to-detail, leadership abilities, and above all, what it means to be a part of something bigger than myself. While serving, I knew I still wanted to get into the technology field, so I ended up enrolling in an AS in Computer Technology to begin the path. While serving full time, I made it a point to stay on top of education as I knew it would help with core tech skills such as web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Python, and data analytics using Google Analytics. Some other courses include UX development, technical writing, and interpersonal skills. My ultimate goal is to obtain a master's in science in Computer Science which I aim to begin that path at the beginning of 2024 with a dual degree path. Until then, I will keep brushing up at my skills so that way, wherever I land, I can contribute to the fullest.
