Worked a seasonal position in the fast-paced retail industry during the busy holiday season. I was able to increase my public interaction skills and customer service while learning valuable information from observing sales managers and handling multiple tasks.

As a student gameday manager, I am responsible for preparing the days sports venue for a game. A few hours before game time, I'm in charge of setting up benches, scoreboards, hooking up audio cables and press box communications. I assist in directing teams and referees to their respective locker rooms and make sure that the needs of all individuals are met. During the games, my responsibilities are to assure that all operations run smoothly whether that be observing the game and spectators or assisting the AD with alumni events or other in-game needs. This job gives me the opportunity to interact with alumni and meet numerous university faculty members whom I otherwise wouldn't come in contact with. This position has substantially increased my ability to handle multiple tasks as well as create positive relationships with those around me.
