• Designed an Audio Surveillance System as a cost efficient alternative to Video Surveillance Systems. It holds the capacity to identify potentially dangerous situations through classifying certain types of sounds and pinpointing their locations, while avoiding any legal issues that may come about from filming individuals without consent.• Implemented a hardware setup of 2 microphone arrays connected to a Raspberry Pi, which was programmed with software that used Machine Learning to differentiate types of sound (e.g., “footsteps,” “voices,” “crashes”, “gunshots”), and Survey Triangulation to determine the exact locations of the sound.• Used Agile Methodology to organize work into product and sprint backlogs. Sprints occurred every 2 weeks, with Scrum Masters rotating every sprint. At the end of every sprint, presentations were given to assess progress, after which the product backlogs were updated and the subsequent sprint backlogs were created

• Served as a Teaching Assistant for Computer Science II - Intro to Java and Microprocessors – conducted multiple lab sections weekly, held tutoring hours, answered questions in person or through email, and graded labs.• Guided weekly labs by giving introductions to the labs, walking students through any particular software setups, then directing them to work with either partners or groups, depending on class size. Afterwards, walked around to answer questions as needed, making sure to not simply give out answers, but instead guide them through the entire process.• Conducted ‘tutoring hours’ in preparation for upcoming exams, where multiple TAs gathered for 2-hour long study sessions separate from labs, where students were encouraged to come ask questions on subjects they were unsure about.

• Programmed an interactable 5-Card Draw Poker game using Java within the Eclipse IDE where a user plays against an AI. To keep the user on their toes, the AI was coded to act unpredictably during each betting round.• Utilized Inheritance for the relationship between the Player and Robot classes to reduce code redundancy, and Encapsulation on classes as a whole to eliminate unnecessary access to class variables. • Used JavaFX to create a GUI that displayed card images and pot amounts, with interactable buttons for possible actions: betting, calling, checking, folding, raising, exchanging cards, starting new hands, or exiting the game.

• Held one on one tutoring sessions with high school students in Round Rock, TX and Austin, TX to better prepare them for SAT and ACT tests – these sessions were mostly focused on the mathematics portions of the SAT/ACT tests.• Worked together with the students, went through SAT/ACT prep books and reviewed study tips and strategies for the specific types of problems they would see, and assigned homework for their next sessions.• Honed in on easy/medium difficulty problems, with the hardest difficulty problems being the lowest priority in terms of study order, since they are the most rare, and therefore, the least relevant.

• Participated in the pilot program of the Doerr Institute at Rice University, where a group of students received 60 hours of training from certified business Leadership Coaches in the practice of guiding others to develop leadership skills. • Granted certification as a Peer Leadership Coach after training was completed, which enabled me to coach peer students.• Coached 10 fellow students in the development of leadership skills - focused on fundamental changes in mental habits, encouraged them to take initiative in all areas of life, rather than just work. Concepts such as being proactive rather than reactive and learning to build relationships through mutual dependency were highlighted as well.
