The summer internship focused on expanding my knowledge and productivity mostly within the beef industry, but also involved training in crop production by scouting fields and helping with the local Winfield Answer Plot. I enjoyed the experience due to the friendly and helpful co-workers, the experience of building customer relations, and learning more about the agricultural industry through a cooperative's perspective. Some specific roles include the following:-Sales calls with the main goal of booking mineral and protein tubs-Learning alongside the beef specialist aspects of cattle feeding and production while emphasizing building personal relationships with customers. -Crop scouting customers fields as well as noting concerns and relaying plant development stages-Working the front counter by taking phone calls, placing feed orders, and helping walk-in customers-Conducting maintenance around the facilities, inside and exterior parts of grain bins, yard work, and machinery. -Working within the warehouse by gathering feed orders, operating the forklift, helping bag feed, cleaning, and organizing.

- I do whatever needs done, from picking apples to operating equipment. I have trimmed trees, mowed the farm yard, operated a tractor with a loader, and hauled liquid manure to be knifed into a field. Work there after college classes are complete for the day typically 3-4 days out of the week, as well as on Saturdays. I appreciate the work and the employer's character.
