Performing research for a database of strategic trade and export control information. The database includes information on a large set of top US trade partner countries. I was tasked with seeking out information on previously un-researched countries, keeping existing parts of the database up to date and transferring information to a new platform to more efficiently present the database to client companies. TradeSecure provides information on strategic trade and export controls to a multitude of Fortune 500 companies. I usually worked independently with occasional guidance from mentors and gathered a variety of information from various foreign governmental websites. After gathering the information, I organized it in either Microsoft Excel or a web portal, while adhering to company-wide formatting standards.

Responsible for leading or assisting other leaders with outdoor trips and educational clinics. Participant groups usually ranged from five to ten individuals. Outdoor trips involved facilitating some outdoor activity for a day or weekend, ensuring the safety of the group and providing any needed services for the group, such as ensuring group cohesion and enjoyment, or proper reaction to medical emergencies. I transported the participants in 11-person passenger vans as needed. Educational clinics involved instructing participants on a useful outdoor skill, such as navigation, or providing information about a topic or activity, such as backpacking and proper equipment. Clinics included time for the participants to take an initiative and use the skills they learn, while leaders will monitor their progress and assist when necessary. I specialized in caving trips and outdoor cooking clinics. I was also given the opportunity to design a menu of meals for overnight trips; I performed the task well - adhering to a set budget, minimizing weight and maximizing meal diversity and appeal.
