- Formulated and solved various optimization problems, in particular focusing on multidimensional knapsack problems and optimizing/diversifying sets of multiple solutions under uncertainty - utilized dynamic programming and a variety of optimization software and solvers (including Gurobi, Pulp/GLPK, and scipy)- Built custom predictive models for various sports with a focus on NBA - predicted statistical output of players on a game-by-game basis using a variety of modeling methods including regression and custom MLE modeling- Designed and built an in-house webapp consisting of a dashboard, reporting system, backtesting system, and data processing/editing tools using MeteorJS, NVD3, Mongo, and MySQL- Built simulation models for golf and football using numpy, simulating both discrete and continuous events and incorporating correlations between variables when applicable- Designed and maintained MySQL databases - responsible for schema/table design, tools for webscraping, and custom checks for data accuracy and consistency

- Developed a data pipeline for pulling, updating, and maintaining data on apartments available for rent in Boston, including data scrubbing and de-duplication- Built various web applications, such as tools for searching/sharing postings of apartments for rent and a tool allowing renters to rate and review real-estate agents that they worked with- Maintained coding best practices using consistent in-house coding style and developing on a shared git base- Created a data-visualization for browsing apartment prices in the Boston area using javascript and NVD3(https://www.jumpshell.com/posts/finding-the-right-apartment-in-boston-for-your-budget)

– Developed reporting for UsedCars.com Google Search Campaigns – created and maintained a process in Python to combine impression, click, and cost data from Google with internal arrival, site performance, and revenue data into MySQL and built a system to predict the value of keywords from this data and set bids accordingly through the Adwords API– Optimized display retargeting advertisements – identified characteristics of returning users with strong predictive power, used the Adwords API to automate generation of clustered audiences, and added structure into Python bidding scripts to factor in these characteristics

– Automated maintenance of paid advertising campaigns – Developed tools in Python and MySQL to find unprofitable tokens for search, identify good/bad website placements, audit advertising budgets, and more– Managed various sources of traffic aquisition

– Built proof-of-concept for math testing website in PHP– Various web scraping including finding lawyers in Massachusetts who practiced within certain fields of law

– Programmed database in MS Access to allow social workers to input their working hours and meeting notes and bill to the appropriate case– Wrote VBA scripts to automate form generation and completion
