As a Lead Analyst I work with Senior Stakeholders in cross functional units of the Health Services BU to deliver analytic products. I also manage junior and senior members of the Data and Analytics team and empower my team to continually develop and solve complex business problems.Selected Achievements:• Led the development of a reporting solution for a new contract with DVA, which involved managing cross functional teams. Business analysis was performed internally, and workshops were held with DVA to understand and document all reporting requirements. Working with the Software Engineering team I was able to translate the business requirements and have my team complete UAT of the solution. This has resulted in reports and dashboards being built in Power BI whilst connected to the cube which service the DVA contract.• Redesigned the data warehouse solution to be a star schema, which reduced duplication of data, increased data quality and reduced processing time. During the design I led several workshops with Senior stakeholders and managers to ensure that current and future business requirements were captured and accounted for in the star schema. The solution is currently being built which will allow for democratisation of data.• Developed governance which ensured data quality and consistency for data driven solutions. The governance utilises a ticketing system along with regular quality checks which has resulted in a significant increase in data quality. This has ultimately improved relationships with Senior Stakeholders and strengthened my team’s brand as quality work is being produced by all members of my team. • Supported and mentored junior and senior members of my team by creating best practice framework and providing advice on how best to use data to tell stories. I’ve leveraged my seniority to influence the culture of my team and the wider business as I believe that knowledge should be shared, and we should never stop learning.

As a Senior Data and Reporting Analyst, I led the development of analytic products to facilitate data-driven business decision making within Bupa Australia Defence Force Health Services Contract (ADFHSC). Stakeholder management, data governance and in-depth knowledge of the ADFHSC were critical to the success of my role and Bupa’s reputation. Selected Achievements:• Led a program of work addressing a gap in contractual reporting, with a strong focus on data quality. My main stakeholders were the Leadership Team with whom I ensured constant communication. This was critical to meet business needs and to design an appropriate solution using Power BI, which resulted in the Leadership Team being empowered to implement changes to performance KPI’s due to the insights gained. • Managing junior and senior members of my team, delegating work whilst providing them with guidance and sharing my knowledge of the ADF Health Services Contract. This has enabled my colleagues to meet stakeholder expectations whilst upskilling them in stakeholder management and technical ability, enabling me to lead other pipelines of work.• Built, documented, and implemented a technical solution ensuring that selected ADF Personnel are surveyed about their experience with Bupa regularly throughout the year. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Insights I was able to guarantee the accuracy of the data and governance surrounding it. This resulted in enterprise KPI’s being met whilst aiding in improving the lives of ADF Personnel• Competed in a Global Bupa Hackathon, leading the design and build of a dashboard solution which would report on two different operational problems. Working collaboratively with Senior Management, Business Intelligence Managers and Program Managers, I documented requirements and was able to have real time feedback on the design. This resulted in the creation of two operational projects, enabling the business to document further requirements for a full solution.

As a Data and Reporting Analyst I was tasked with providing meaningful dashboards and reports which aid decision making by telling stories through insight. My time was split between two business units – 70% working on the ADFHSC and the other 30% working on the Bupa Medical Visa Services Contract (BMVS) and Co-ordinated Veterans Care Contract (CVC). Stakeholder Management, technical ability and prioritisation of work were essential as I needed to maintain relationships with stakeholders throughout three different departments.Selected Achievements• Worked with Senior Managers to create a dashboard focused on network sufficiency. A thorough understanding of the data model, data quality and business processes empowered me to work collaboratively and to lead meetings to discuss insights and future requirements. The technical solution resulted in Operational Management to enhance our provider network, providing better care for the ADF Personnel• Led a pipeline of work focused on providing meaningful commercial insights. Working the Head of Commercial, and manager of Finance I was able to document requirements and follow the business processes of how data is captured, stored, and passed through our Service Analytics Platform. This resulted in two solutions being built which provide daily insight• Led a pipeline of work in BMVS to automate reporting focused on Carers Visa holders. I was able to drive reporting change by replacing manual reporting in Excel with an automated dashboard using SAS and Power BI. This resulted in time saving for management and enhanced data quality and reporting, reducing wait times for Carer’s Visa appointments. • Undertook the analytics of a Coordinated Veterans Care (CVC) Net Promoter Score survey using multivariate statistical methods which provided insights into the CVC program. This enabled the Data & Analytics Manager to suggest changes to the senior managers of the CVC program

• Working closely with Project Managers to design, build and implement a new system, which will allow for easier transactions between Brokers and Bupa. This reduced emails from the broker, improved data quality as forms weren’t subject to misinterpretation of handwriting, and was used as a selling point to onboard new clients to Bupa• Implementing a new way of billing clients which splits the cost between a corporation and the Bupa Member. I was able to co-ordinate national presentations to educate account managers on the strategies of retaining business through the new way of billing. This resulted in 19 clients joining over 2 years accounting for >$10 million in revenue annually.• Implementing an arrears action plan by working with Brokers, Account Managers and other members of my team, which resulted in a reduction of arrears equating to $1.6 million in 2 months• Coordinating meetings with frontline departments to minimize miscommunication regarding corporate products, which improved customer satisfaction, and positively influenced Bupa’s brand.

Bupa Wellness is a subsidiary of Bupa Australia which focuses on employee well-being. As a Business Analyst my day to day duties were to ensure the continued functionality of Bupa Wellness Systems and processes. Liaising with IT and management, I acted as a point for communications relating to any changes and/or updates to systems and processes and associated process documentation. Key Achievements• Led a project aimed to determine the cost of subcontracting different specialists. Engaging with ever manager in the Bupa Wellness Department, I documented all processes of each team as they were lacking governance. This then enabled me to update the Business Rules by which Bupa Wellness operate and propose a new costing option to the head of Operations• Completed requirements document which will allow external clients to access our booking system via a laptop, tablet or smartphone. This was then passed to our IT team to implement and I was required to complete User Acceptance Testing. The IT solution was a success and allowed practitioners on site to access our booking system. • Completed requirements document to enhance automated emails which are sent to participants of Bupa Wellness services/activities
