My past experiences in work, school, and otherwise have involved being detail oriented as well as time and deadline conscious. I’ve gained a lot of experience over the past couple of years with working as part of teams as both equals as well as a leader. In school I have worked in groups on coding projects as well as a few project presentations and, although I do not aim to be the leader or head of the project, I don’t shy away from the role if no one else rises to the task. Outside of class experiences, I have volunteered for the past three years as part of the Oregon Trail Rally Group, an organization that puts on a three day national race in the Portland area. This past year I was one of the 20 or so organizers in charge of everything (I was the youngest one). I ran two of the stages that weekend and was in charge of a group of about 25-35 people doing timing and communication on those stages. In this event, safety, communication, and remaining on a tight schedule are of the utmost importance and, taking place on temporarily closed public roads, public relations and leadership are taken seriously.Aside from coursework, the largest skills I have learned in recent years are indubitably leadership, teamwork, and efficiency with regards to being detail oriented and time conscious.
