Growing up, I was always good with numbers. Anyone in my family will tell you that I am a numbers guy. I have spent much more time than I would like to admit looking up stats for various topics, mainly sports. The issue was that I didn't know of a job that would be a reasonable career for the future. This issue all changed during my junior year of high school. I wanted to fill out my schedule and decided to take the offered accounting class. Instantly, I realized I just had a knack for it and found a career path that I felt would suit me. I have been on that path ever since.Being able to work well with numbers, the desire to do well enough that I am proud of my work, and being adaptable to different scenarios will make me a great accountant in the future. I am starting by majoring in accounting at Utah State University, and then I will work on getting my master's degree. Along the way, I will look for internships, leading me to look for long-term positions as an accountant.
