In August 2015 I started as a favor during the hotel's renovation period and was only supposed to be here for 3 days. The owners quickly took notice of me and I ended up working as a project assistant until construction was completed and they opened in March of 2016. Of the several employees that had worked on the renovation project, I was the only one to continue on join the hotel staff. It was planned that I would help assist running operations since I had such an in depth knowledge of the facility, but after management realized they had failed to hire any bar personnel I offered to step up and learn the position. At the last moment, I dove head first into a new field so we could stay on track to open. Within three months they had allocated full control over the bar and made me the bar and front office manager. I worked full time managing the bar and front office while attending Gadsden State full time as well. I finishing my degree (3.99 GPA) in the summer of 2017, after graduation, the owners offered me the position of General Manager. By this time they had gone through 4 other General Managers and a hospitality management company. None were able to grasp the needs of the hotel and run it effectively. Within one year of assuming the position we had climbed to a perfect 5/5 star review rating on Trip Advisor (a rating that still stands today). In my time as manager we have been awarded several awards including, Best Boutique Hotel in Alabama, and Best Small Hotel in Alabama. I was personally nominated as Administrative Professional of the year in 2019. And, the hotel has won and maintained a beautification award from the county in 2017. In early 2019, I added to my list and assumed all financial responsibilities as well when our accountant moved on to a new field as well. This site has been a passion and love for the majority of my professional career. I will always be proud of what I have helped build, and what we have accomplished.

Started fresh out of college after deciding it would not have been a fiscally responsible decision to continue my education at Mansfield University. I took the next logical step which was finding a job in order to support myself and start my career.- Managed 300+ accounts independently each month- Became proficient in several different "CRS" systems, beyond what was expected- Lead my team on what was considered to be the most difficult contract in the department- Finished my term with the company as one of their top collection specialists overall The most enjoyable aspect of this position was learning the problem solving skills necessary to compete in this environment. I prided myself in being prepared for any question or rebuttal a customer may have had. Customers were often very appreciative with my services, a rare trademark in the debt collection field. I had fallen in love with serving people and is why I decided to pursue other customer services lines of work.
