About Jacob Dailey

I am seeking to apply my extensive skills and intimate knowledge towards a full time position in the manufacturing industry.HARD WORKI grew up on a farm so I'm no stranger to hard work and working through unexpected problems. Because of this, I like to get my hands dirty and work with people to help solve problems and come up with ideas to make the job easier.PERSONALBuilding rapport with people is a lifelong passion of mine. Each person I meet, I enjoy knowing who they truly are as a person. Not just as another co-worker. It also brings me great pride to know that each person is confident enough with my abilities to come to me for help. I will never take that for granted.PROFESSIONALDuring my internships I have learned various skills needed to make an immediate impact in the manufacturing environment. I can complete time studies, line balancing, as well as fixture and cart design. I understand the importance of lean manufacturing as well and know the Shingo Model for Operational Excellence, 5S, value stream mapping, and I know how to identify Muda (waste).I am familiar with DFMEA and PFMEA. As well as meeting with vendors to formulate a solution to aid in increased efficiency and effectiveness of a plant. SELF TAUGHTIf there is a program that I haven't seen or used before, I am willing and able to learn it in no time. For example, during internship at Exotic Metals, I had to used Siemens:NX in order to design a pedestal. I had one week to learn the program and model the part. I took it upon myself to learn the ins and outs of the program to successfully create a useable, working model of the pedestal.____________________________________________________________________________I am ready to successfully join a team of engineers to help your company run smoothly and efficiently.
