Wound³ is revolutionizing chronic wound care by democratizing data collection and bridging the patient-practitioner complex for the first time. By leveraging an AI-powered infrastructure, Wound³ transforms patients' and practitioners' mobile devices into a precision 3D medical scanner, offering unparalleled accuracy, usability and efficiency to serve more patients, better. With accurate, actionable data for better wound management, Wound³ empowers patients and care providers to get the complete picture at every stage of the wound care journey. Our software enables patients to capture a continuous stream of data, practitioners to cut routine measurement time to less than a minute, and vastly improve care efficacy validation and clinical management/triage.

Level 7 believes in crafting a legacy of sustainability advocates who seek discomfort by challenging the status quo – we believe in action-driven change. Our project integrates an alternative recycling solution at the University of Alberta through the combination of people, platforms, and passion. By repurposing collected waste, we are able to provide various on-campus groups with education and eco-friendly materials. Uniting the community through sustainability and engineering, Level 7 provides a tangible solution to help mitigate the global waste crisis, while also striving to stimulate innovation in student groups. Together, we can declare war on plastic waste.

My internship was focused on end-to-end product development in a biomedical engineering research facility at the University of Alberta. Utilizing my expertise in FDM and SLA 3D printing, I lead the design, prototyping, and manufacturing of COVID-19 diagnostics based on thin-film technologies. During this term, I became well-versed in many engineering design principles, regulations in the medical space, and LEAN prototyping practices. I also discovered the value of clear communication pathways between compartmentalized teams as I frequently met with end-users, researchers, and other engineering teams to build a useful and optimized product.
