Foster an environment for all students to collaborate, discover, and improve. Increased student involvement from 15 to 40 through revamping the club’s outreach efforts. Educate members on climbing techniques, outdoor etiquette, and route setting. Act as a liaison between student government, faculty, and club members.

Assists with the daily supervision of the climbing wall and climbers, enforcing all policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment managing the risks associated with indoor rock climbing. Provides top rope belays and lead belays. Encourages and interacts with other climbers assisting in technical advice and answering general questions. Creates a welcoming atmosphere for climbers.

Carry out route resets, route setting, and training of the route setting team. Assist with the organization of collegiate climbing competitions. Collaborate with the community daily to customize the routes to their needs. Assist route setters with understanding and translate their ideas. Create spreadsheets to track and assess current and future routes.

Guide 5-18 participants in the backcountry hiking, canoeing, or climbing. Inspire fellow coordinators to devote their time effectively to create awe inspiring experiences for participants. Collaborate with my team to ensure fluidity and success with each trip. Maintain leadership through active participation and calmness when in high pressure situations.
