Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, the importance of a job well done was instilled in me from an early age, cutting grass for my neighbors at 13 planted the seeds that would turn into an excellent work ethic. By the time I was 20, I was on the fast track at Hy-Vee while working towards my associates at DMACC. But, after four years, and some issues brought on by the Pandemic, I found myself working for EFCO Corp. as a General Laborer under the guidance of my father, who took a young man who didn't know a nut from a bolt and turned him into an assembling machine, and within a year, I was the top candidate for a position as a Human Resources Administrator for the company, before circumstances caused the position to close suddenly. I pride myself on my ability to work in stressful environments the require one to step outside of their comfort zone, such as my jump from retail to hard labor involving construction products. Any situation that involves working with a team is where I shine, as I was a Service Manager at Hy-Vee and often had to manage large groups with a focus on keeping the store properly maintained. I also embrace any and all challenges that I know will improve who I am as an employee, and am never opposed to learning something entirely different from what It is I normally do. I participated in annual inventory at both and Hy-Vee and EFCO. I work with power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes, as well as assembling construction products that range from simple nut and bolt assemblies to larger projects that require more time and engagement to put together. I have experience supervising a group of individuals, handling paperwork such as invoices, quality audits, accident reports, and typing up and printing end of day reports. I have experience as a cashier, printing postage, printing money orders, sending and receiving wire transfers, and assiting customers in paying their bills. I have worked in a kitchen setting, and have worked in the floral shop, I have been a delivery driver for both floral and the pharmacy for Hy-vee. I have been through a rigorous interview process as a candidate for Human Resources Administrator at EFCO Corp. I have traveled to 6 different countries, those being Germany, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Czechia, with the intention to visit more in the future.
