Emergency Medical Technician/Security Officer

Current

Simsbury, Connecticut, United States

My duties as an EMT/Security Officer are to provide overall security to the facility as there is classified information and projects being carried out. I am the first point of contact when entering the facility to all visitors, contractors, and anything pertaining to deliveries. I conduct patrols around the facility and do hourly inspections on machinery. My security officer duties also include escorting, important personnel and protecting highly classified information hence why I obtained a secret security clearance to hold my current position. My position at this company also includes being an emergency medical technician, and a first responder to any emergency in the facility. This allows me to administer emergency medical care to all personnel who are injured or become sick in the facility due to the dangerous nature of the projects being worked on.

United States

While working for fail safe LLC my title was fire hose technician. I would test the fire hose by pressuring them to the maximum pressure it was rated for, then assessing the hoses for leaks, burst, cracks or any other defects. I would also test the ground ladders by placing them under the maximum weight it was rated for, then assign for any defects and overall durability. I would travel to fire departments in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine and upstate New York being on the road for weeks at a time.
