I am very passionate about community development planning, and natural resource planning efforts to improve the overall living conditions for humans and the natural environment surrounding them. I have developed a range of planning skills in line with these interests by preparing written reports for various projects in compliance with state and local ordinances for decision making. I also have proficiency in interpersonal and public communication which I actively must engage in on a daily basis. My education and work experience in planning have helped me develop broader ideas for communities and their futures.I have worked on projects such as a recommendations plan for McKinleyville Town Center in McKinleyville, CA, and various projects requiring Coastal Development Permits, Conditional Use Permits, Special Permits, Zoning Clearance Certificates, Lot Line Adjustments, Minor Subdivisions, Modifications, Minor Deviations, Emergency Permits, Variances, General Plan Petitions, Zone Reclassifications, and Notice of Mergers. These projects involve administering, interpreting and enforcing the County Zoning Ordinance, County General Plan, California Coastal Act, California Environmental Quality Act, Subdivision Map Act, California Building Code, Local Coastal Plans, Community Plans and other planning laws, policies and standards.
