Assuming the role of Lead Engineer within a rapidly growing EPC firm executing projects in the Industrial/Petrochemical, Midstream Oil and Gas, Electrical Substation, and Battery Energy Storage system spaces. My role includes supervising a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute several simultaneously occurring projects in the markets listed above. All projects require communication and coordination between the customer and company, as well as the various in-house design disciplines including Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Transmission engineering. As the Lead Engineer, my involvement spans from project scoping, estimate development, execution, commissioning, and closeout phases. Throughout each phase of the project, my responsibilities include customer communication, budget management, and team management.

Assuming the role of project design engineer for large greenfield construction projects located primarily in industrial environments. This position has required strong communication, technical and analytical skills to maintain course on numerous projects occurring at the same time. Some of my responsibilities include the following: • Work directly with customers to assess early project design requirements as well as periodically throughout the duration of projects to ensure expectations are being met. • Work with the different disciplines of the project team to develop scopes, schedules, and system design. • Work with the design staff to create Single Lines, Relaying Schemes, BOMs, Equipment Layouts, Physical drawings, Interconnect drawings, etc.. • Create Major Equipment Specifications for various pieces of equipment including Power Transformers, Capacitor Banks, LV/MV SWGR, LV/MV MCC, PCR Buildings, battery systems, etc.. • Review all manufacturer drawings for major equipment and provide support as needed during the construction and checkout phase of the project. • Perform System studies including modeling, Load Flow, Coordination, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash studies using ETAP studies software.• Create Set point files for protective relays on equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, conductors, motors, and capacitor banks using AcSELerator and EnerVista. • Review IEEE Standards and Customer Specifications to ensure all aspects of the system design follow typical industry practices.

Design and Specify all components of client electrical systems from the utility to the branch circuit loads. This includes: Utility feed reclosers Power transformers Control Buildings HVAC systems Cable tray systems Motor Control Centers Switchgear UPS systems All interconnecting wiringPerform client arc flash studies: Gather required data Generate software model (ETAP) Perform Short Circuit study Perform Arc Flash Study Perform Device Coordination study Generate written reports for clientCommunicate with equipment manufacturers and operations to ensure project milestones are completed on schedule Use Microsoft Office Suite to: Model medium and low voltage distribution loads. Determine balance/imbalances on client electrical systems. Create client "Templates" to generate electrical load lists Generate 3D models using Sketchup Pro to accurately plan and complete projects.

Communicated with operations and vendors to develop project requirements for motor protection relay upgrades.Created project schedules and aligned resources for successful project completion.Communicated with contract personnel regarding budgetary estimates. Compiled instrumentation databases to manage PM schedules.

Assisted in the testing of various pieces of electrical equipment. Assisted in the startup and commissioning of electrical generation stations. Assisted in the replacement of obsolete electromechanical relays with microprocessor based relays. Prepared and submitted test reports for clients.
