As an Associate Attorney I draft police power and zoning ordinances on behalf of municipalities; advise municipalities at Board, Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals Meetings on the ins and outs of municipal law; review Freedom of Information Act requests; and prosecute ordinance and municipal enforcement for various municipalities.

Researched and drafted opinions, orders, and memorandums for active marriage dissolution, child custody, guardianships, termination of parental rights and juvenile matters cases. Reviewed all Personnel Protection Order Requests and made recommendations to Judge as to the outcome of the requests. Drafted and researched a memorandum in opposition of a shared parenting time presumption currently being contemplated by the Michigan Legislature to be used by the Michigan Judges Association: Family Law Committee.

Investigated and reviewed active guardian and conservatorship cases for legally incapacitated individuals and minor children in need of legal guardians. Researched and composed Court opinions and orders regarding cases such as appointments of a guardian or conservator, petitions to amend guardianships or conservatorships, and petitions to probate estates. Collaborated directly with Judge on drafting and researching the Mental Health Committee Report that is used by the Michigan Probate Judges Association.

Performed basic day-to-day tasks to support the entire medical team in properly caring for memory care patients. Worked under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and other medical staff.
