Growing up, my three brothers called me “the nerdy one.” I was always watching the History and Discovery channels and as I came of age, I would pit myself against the contestants of Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire with no cash prize in sight for every correct answer I gave. I realized I possess a natural inquisitiveness and seem to love learning new things more than the average individual. In fact, if being a student is ever a full-time, paid position I might be the first applicant. My love for learning stems from a belief that Knowledge is Power, and I’ve carried this with me in my career.The most important thing we can do with knowledge is not simply accumulate it, but impart it to others. In all my roles I’ve striven to become a subject matter expert (SME) so I could pass along my expertise and mentor others.
