• Provides process engineering support on current production programs and supports overall manufacturing execution to meet cost, quality and delivery targets.• Proactively identifies process improvements, and engages with factory and program teams to implement process changes and continuous improvement initiatives for achieving operational excellence.• Day to day support of the production floor activities, driving defect reduction, root cause activities, and daily interaction with technicians and operators.• Lead, coordinate and support PPV/FAI activities.• Analyze defect data to identify areas to improve yield and reduce defects.• Applies Six Sigma tools, lean manufacturing principles and lead green belt projects to solve production problems and improve yields. As an intern in the mechanical engineering group I am be responsible for understanding the testing goals necessary to demonstrate that the product meets particular requirements. I work in a team setting to identify appropriate test equipment, define test methods, determine appropriate sample sizes for the given test, prepare samples, execute testing and write final test reports.
