I enjoy challenging problems and scenarios that push me to expand my knowledge and gain new skills. Throughout my life, my curiosity has been peaked by technology and the desire to understand it in a more in-depth view. Ranging from building a testing apparatus to test leak pressure of insulin reservoirs at Becton Dickenson to designing ductwork for HVAC application at Bard, Rao, and Athanas, I have been able to use my courses from Wentworth in real world applications that display my knowledge of the material I was taught and learned on my own.My previous work experience really brought into my love for manufacturing. After the two Co-Ops, I got my Minor in Manufacturing at Wentworth and completed my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. This led to my current role is working as a Process Engineer at BAE Systems. Using the experience I gained in school and other opportunities, I have been able to build on my knowledge of manufacturing in a production environment as well as research and development. I am always looking to expand my understanding in new technical ways and am currently very focused on integrating myself into a quality driven focus. My specialties: + SolidWorks Modeling+ Root Cause Corrective Actions+ Lean Six Sigma Principles+ Product Process Verification and First Article Inspection (PPV/FAI)+ Simulation based Design (FEA and CFD)+ LabView and Data Acquisition+ Prototyping (Design and Testing)+ Manufacturing Processes (Milling and Turning)+ Data Analysis + 3D PrintingI am a lifelong learner and continue to delve into new projects to expand my understanding of mechanical engineering. If you believe I would be a good addition to your team, please feel free to contact me: jacob.eldred@baesystems.com
