Ever since a young age, my parents taught me that the only way to success in life is through hard work and dedication to your respective craft. Neither of my parents have a college degree but though their hard work put my two older brothers and me through college. My passion to succeed in college and a professional career in Sales is derived from the idea of not having a “Plan B.” My oldest brother didn’t have a “plan b” and through his hard work he has achieved everything I want to achieve. He has become financially stable, traveled the world, and started a family.After graduating from high school, I decided to attend Mesa Community College, where I had just recently received my Associate Degree in General Business. Now I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The W.P. Carrey School of Business at Arizona State University. During high school, I worked part time at Home Depot, in between sports seasons as I was a 3-sport athlete. Through sports I developed the ability to make quick decisions, leadership skills, and I learned to never shy away from hard work. For the last 3 years, while studying at MCC, I have been painting houses for my Dad’s house painting company. Working this close with clients, I have developed strong communication skills with customers. I have also been tasked with giving estimates to clients where I have learned to value my work while also having respect for the market and client. I believe that where I lack in sales experience, I make up for it with hard work, passion, and communication skills. After graduating from W.P. Carrey, I hope to enter the workforce immediately and begin my career.
