I’m a University of Chicago graduate with a degree in Biological Sciences specializing in Ecology and Evolution. I'm passionate about data-driven and analytical thinking, and my favorite projects allow me to apply my scientific literacy, analytical thinking, and communication skills in any context, scientific or not. At UChicago, I wrote my undergraduate thesis on quantitative population modeling in insect defoliators where I employed and built upon my skills in coding, scientific writing, and data analysis. I'm currently applying my passions and skills as a paralegal at Fisch Sigler LLP, an intellectual property (IP) firm where I am continuing to build my skills as an analytical thinker and clear writer. I'm also an avid musician- I've played violin, viola, guitar, and piano for nearly two decades and am passionate about playing and writing music.Skills and Expertise:-> Coding: I have 4 years of coding experience including R and Python both inside and outside of college courses-> Data Analysis: I've spent a lot of time working with large data sets and fitting models in R as part of my thesis research-> Communication/Teaching: I've given multiple 45 min+ long talks about my research and have TA'd in multiple quantitative and non-quantitative biology courses where I led my own lab sessions and office hours.-> Scientific/Technical Writing: I produced an undergraduate thesis while at UChicago, and this and other experience writing grant proposals and manuscripts in my other research has given me a solid base as a clear and concise writer.
