I am studying turbulence using direct numerical simulation. I recently completed my honors thesis, titled, "Heat Transport and Large Scale Flow Structures in a slender Rayleigh-Bénard Convection Cell." I conduct this work with Dr. Janet Scheel in the Occidental College Physics Dept.

Physics peer tutor through SSAP (Scientific Scholars Achievement Program).

I was a part of the summer research program at occidental college. In this role I conducted work with Dr. Janet Scheel, studying heat transport and large scale flow structures in a slender Rayleigh-Bénard Convection Cell.

I worked as a thermal/mechanical test engineer intern in a laboratory setting. My team was responsible for outfitting cooling systems in data center switches. I collaborated closely with engineers running simulations to generate experimental data and compare with their simulated results. In my role I gained experience designing and fabricating ducts for test apparatus and using these to outfit line cards in wind tunnels. I recreated airflow conditions to measure component temperatures with various prototype heat sink models and evaluate the power and air flow ratings of different fans. Additionally, I outfitted heat sinks with thermocouples and used thermal chambers to ensure the cooling system was successful in extreme temperatures and with mechanical failures such as losing a fan. I presented my results weekly to my team members and these were used to finalize our cooling systems.

I worked as a goalkeeper coach at my childhood soccer club. I worked with high level club soccer players aged 8-15.

I was a competition pilot for Mikado Model Helicopters. These are remote controlled helicopters with a rotordisk size of approximately 1.5 meters. I competed in competitions all over the world, assisted in prototype testing of new equipment, and served as an ambassador of the Mikado brand to RC helicopter pilots at helicopter flying events all over the world and through social media.
