While working with Wilson & Company I've accumulated a lot of experience putting together sets of plans for not only KDOT, but also NDOT and MoDOT, and as such I am familiar with with their drafting standards and preferences, in both Structural and Roadway.During my time at Salina Tech I was taught a multitude of the drafting standards for a variety of different industries, on several different programs, including AutoCAD, Civil3D, Solidworks, and Revit. During the my second semester I was hired on part time at Wilson & Company as a drafter in their Transportation department, working working primarily in Roadway, which uses Microstation and soon to be ORD. After graduating they brought me on full time and I was also invited back to Salina Tech to be on their CAD Advisory board representing the Civil industry. Later on I was also invited back to substitute teach there a few times.My time has not, however, been spent working purely with the Roadway group. For several years now I have been working with our Structures group as well, drafting and detailing bridge plans.I also am frequently called upon to help get new hires up to speed on Microstation, as not many people come out of school knowing what that is, so I've spent a decent amount of time training others.I also am Certified as in Inspector in the state of KS as well as have my ACI Concrete inspection certifications.Strengths:-Works well in groups, even better alone-Handles pressure and deadlines like cake, frequently called in when the going gets rough-Good at teaching people the basics, very patientWeaknesses:-Comically bad at mental math, compensates by knowing how to make the program do it for me
