I was in the 8th grade when I started learning about design. The lens of that introduction was Autodesk Inventor, then Revit, and then Lego Robotics. This was my pivot point – platforms that enabled my 3D expression. College was more expansive. I pursued architecture at a community and technical college, graduating with an Associates in the Applied Science of Architectural Technology. However, with an introduction to the University of Kentucky, the definition of design further unfolded when I was accepted into the Product Design program. Here I have shaped my imagination into more complex form and discovered new paths to form-making. I discovered form through 3D printing, chiseling form f rom foam, and I even found passion working with color. Through exposure to hand drawing, CAD modeling, form making, and learning new analog skills, I have ventured into UX design, healthcare interfaces, transportation systems, and dissecting how humans interact with a chair or anything. I gained confidence to interact with more individuals, build professional relationships, and development in my strongest skill, empathy. I look at our world with a systematic mindset, and how each individual persons touch point matters to an ecosystem environment.
