Projects include work in a variety of mechanical disciplines such as HVAC, fire protection and petroleum systems.• Reviews architect-engineers plans and specifications to assure compliance with project scope, construction feasibility, and recommends changes. • Prepares mechanical portions of government estimates, reviews contractor’s proposals and assists in negotiations with contractor. • Investigates a variety of problems, which the contractor experiences in construction, such as interference between mechanization and other specializations or other modifications in the original design, which the contractor feels, are necessary or desirable. • Coordinates with the designer, contractor and contracting office in making design changes.• Provides technical support to the Fort Drum Environmental Division for the cross-connection control program and tank testing program.• Served as a technical advisor on the source selection board for a Multiple Award Task Order Contract used to provide a means of contractor based repair, rehabilitation and construction on Fort Drum.• Prepared labor and material estimates to aid in estimating total costs.
