Project Manager 11/33kV Substation rebuild at Mates Gully Zone Substation • Delivered project well under budget with only 40% of allocated hours used upon energization;• Managed and supervised contractors, as well as constantly liaised with project designers, project managers and external sources to meet deadlines and deliver project on schedule;• Substation was state first 11/33kV standalone self-contained sub, this led to constant deviations from original drawings and changes to be made on the fly, which was a great opportunity to develop problem solving under pressure, as well as creative thinking in terms of working around energized overheads; • After loss of direct manager, stepped up to ensure project was still delivered on time and under budget whilst taking on the added roles direct manager would normally fulfil;Site Supervisor Tumut Zone Substation multimillion-dollar brownfield construction/refurbishment:• Found ways to get the most productivity out of an understaffed team to deliver project under budget;• Large project that required parts of the substation to be built whilst other parts of old station remained energized at 66,000 Volts;• Liaised with the Transmission network to keep the city energized without requiring an outage;•Used qualifications and skills to work through the logistics of landing a 66/33/11kV portable transformer inside the substation yard underneath 66kV lines that involved safely positioning both 200T crane and semi-truck on the side of a steep hill. Network switching was required to maintain safe clearances from 66kV with machinery;•Worked with contractors installing indoor switchgear and designed cable runs around the apparatus without drawings;•Completed HV testing, commissioning and switching when the new Substation was energized;ROLE IN GENERAL•Supervised and inducted trades and people of a large range of skilled and unskilled professions to work safely in a High Risk Zone Substations
