As a Resident Assistant, it is my job as a student to support the mission of University Housing in the process of facilitating a positive learning community in the residence halls. This involves consistent maintenance of the building including the opening and closing of the building. Demonstrating positive leadership in the residence halls and around the Whitewater campus. Being able to assess and respond to the needs of residents and the building. Promoting the growth and development of residents. Making sure residents can properly facilitate their academic success and connections to the residence halls and campus community. As a RA I also ensure adherence to community standards and programming requirements to maximize residents' academic and personal success. I utilize technical systems such as InteRAct, Navigate, Maxient, StarRez, Connect2, etc. as requested. This requires working collaboratively with staff, and leaders in the complex as well as staff within university housing. This involves using administrative responsibilities such as time management, prioritization skills, organization skills, and completing paperwork.

In this role, I was responsible for overseeing the guest experience at the Milwaukee County Zoo Sky Adventure Zip Line and Ropes Courses. This involved enhancing the user experience for guests attending the zoo and those purchasing admission for the rides and experiences. Additionally, I managed daily maintenance and utilized administrative skills to document operations related to the Ropes Course. The role demanded strong customer service skills, as I was tasked with resolving escalated situations both on the ground and on the course. Along with handling high-stress interactions, I also managed flexible responses to constant changes. Since the Ropes Course was outdoors, emergency protocols had to be understood and executed efficiently by team leads. Flexibility was essential to ensure the Ropes Course operated at optimal efficiency, which included managing staff and resources effectively.

Working in the customer service role at the Milwaukee County Zoo I was tasked with a variety jobs such as ticketing, rides, serving/assisting visitors, handling tasks for special events, reporting concerns, upholding the Milwaukee County Zoo's vision.
