I was hired on as a Mechanical Systems Engineer and worked mainly in the R&D department developing glass cockpit upgrades and integrating advanced combat systems into both the single and twin-engine models of helicopters. I worked on many projects that involved FAA, USG, and MDHI specific AS9100 rules and regulations. I took on an additional role with MDHI as a Flight Test Engineer and assisted with the creation and execution of test plans intended to validate and conform aircraft systems. I earned a promotion to Systems Engineer level II and upon leaving the company I received a letter of recommendation from my immediate manager.

While working with MWI I helped redesign a commercial radio wave detection device . I was part of a team of engineers who worked to update the existing product with new features and improve upon existing features. Throughout the redesign process skills such as data analysis and critical thinking were necessary to push past the issues that we faced as a team. The finished product of our work was showcased at NAU's Undergraduate Research and Design Symposium where it was awarded first place over 200+ other engineering design projects.
