This is a very exciting time to be involved in technology. Advancements in AI over the last year have been accelerating and I don't think we can yet calculate the degree to which it will change all of the current technology we use. LLMs are only the tip of the iceberg. In the next 2-5 years, the internet may be unrecognizable from what it is today. Google and Bing are already rolling out the next generation of search engines; so far, they are only enhanced versions of what we are already familiar with. Before we know it, every search will be tailored so precisely to our needs, we won't even have to search for what we need. 9 times out of 10, AI will be able to anticipate our needs based on 1,000 variables we didn't even know it was monitoring. Before long, AI will be asking Scientists and Doctors to perform real-world experiments based on its own hypothesis.This is both exciting and frightening. We as a society will need to be engaged in the overall conversation around AI, privacy, responsibility, and as much as I hate to say it, controls. AI is raw power, and like all powerful things, it must be wielded with extreme caution. A team specifically tasked to aid in the protection of foreign diplomats during the UN General Assembly and defused countless bombs in 4 countries, including active combat zones. I earned my business degree after getting out of the Marine Corps and began working at Cloud Potential, a digital marketing agency. I quickly went from intern to web developer and account manager and ultimately made it to Director of SEO/SEM. Our company was absorbed by a large national B2B online wholesaler where I became the SEO manager (while still maintaining select accounts from the old business).I have been managing the SEO on several sites totaling more than 40 million in sales annually, as well as co-managing 75,000 in CPC ad spend monthly.
