My name is Jacob Hopkinson and I am a freelance musician focusing on a portfolio career in both music production and live performance as a keyboard/synth player. Working as an assistant engineer in Chale Abbey Studios (based on the Isle of Wight), I have worked on the production of recent records with artists such as Black Country New Road, Champs, ear candy and Luca Wilding. I currently perform with the project named ear candy, an enthusiastic indie pop outfit based in Bournemouth. Taking on the role of live keyboards/synths, I also co-write and produce for the band, alongside co-mixing and mastering. Since establishing in January 2022, the band thus far have performed multiple shows (including three headline events), released six singles, and have played at the iconic Isle of Wight Festival.
