I am a PhD researcher, focusing on how the chemistry, materials and physics of light impact electron spin interactions in organic semiconductors. I am currently working with molecules known as 'radicals' which is a compound with a single, unpaired electron in the HOMO. By exploring new light-responsive materials I and my group aim to develop more energy-efficient OLEDs and solar cells.In my own time I run a small photography business to help finance my passion for mountaineering. I am the current Student Representative for the British Mountaineering Council (South Wales) and the treasurer for the Swansea University Mountaineering Club.
