I am a seasoned government relations professional with well over a decade of experience in both the public and private sectors. During my career, I have advocated for policy changes and funding related to water efficiency, water reuse, water supply, and groundwater management on behalf of a water agency serving nearly 4 million people. I have helped obtain funding for an innovative bioremediation project to remove a chemical pollutant from drinking water. On behalf of a large, multi-modal transportation agency, I advocated for significant reforms to the federal funding process for transportation projects that ultimately were included in surface transportation reauthorization legislation. During consideration of a highway bill, I helped a major engineering company successfully advocate for policies related to Gulf Coast restoration, innovative financing, and other issues. While working in the public sector, I advised a United States Senator on a number of issues, including natural resources, transportation, and federal funding. I successfully worked to enact several public lands-, water-, and transportation-related bills.
