With over two years of experience as a Transition Pathways Officer at Queensland Department of Education, I am passionate about supporting students from diverse backgrounds and circumstances to access and complete education and training pathways. I have a Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of leadership + management and multiple certifications in mental health first aid, government services, and sport and recreation.In my current role, I work with schools, communities, and external agencies to facilitate engagement, retention, and transition of students into further education, training, or employment. I have successfully developed and implemented strategies and programs to increase student participation, attendance, and achievement, as well as to address barriers and challenges that students face. I have also received a Commanding Officers Commendation and an Australian Defence Medal for my previous service in the Australian Army.
