My passion is design but I am also an effective leader. I am currently a lead engineer and engineering manager. My experience has been quite diverse including the design of playgrounds, basketball hoops, other sports equipment, tables, chairs, coolers, outdoor storage, tent trailers, grab bars and the occasional one-off OEM design. I am the lead engineer and also manage a small team of design engineers to develop these products from concept to production. Design experience includes large extrusion blow molding; injection molding; steel tube and sheet metal, steel forming, bending, welding, powder coating, etc. I also manage a small team that supports our PDM and CAD users. I have used Creo/Pro-E for 20 years. Bronze certified in Lean Manufacturing.

Lead engineer and engineering manager for a startup playground equipment manufacturer. Worked tightly with the management team (president, sales, tooling, manufacturing, facilities, and other departments). Managed a small team of design engineers and a tech writer to develop playground equipment from concept to production. Participated as an active member of ASTM F1148 to update the home playground standard. Design experience included large extrusion blow molding; injection molding; steel tube and sheet metal, steel forming, bending, welding, powder coating, etc.
