As a Junior Electrical Engineering Technologist at Fleetway Incorporated, I specialize in designing and managing electrical schematics for Royal Canadian Navy ships, ensuring compliance with national and international operational standards. My expertise in creating and updating wiring diagrams using Bentley MicroStation, coupled with my proficiency in Cable Running Sheet creation and management, enables me to deliver effective retrofitting solutions that enhance equipment performance while mitigating EMP, EMI, and EMC issues. In addition to retrofitting, I contribute to maintaining strict compliance with configuration management to ensure product documentation remains accurate and relevant.Through my education at NSCC, I gained a multitude of software skills for different applications in the electrical and electronics industries. Wiring diagrams and cable models were configured using AutoCAD while SKMPowerTools and AGi32 were used to model single-line diagrams and lighting systems respectively. Mechatronics/PLC Automation is the main passion I found during my education, using HMIs, Siemens PLCs, and TIA Portal (ladder logic software by Siemens) I won silver in the national skills competition. Additionally, I gained experience designing, coding, and building a 3D printer as a final project for the program.I am passionate about fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting future collaborations, and ensuring thorough technical documentation. With a keen attention to detail, I successfully manage multiple projects, train new hires, and contribute to our technical data management efforts.
