Current• Designed and demonstrated various single and twin-screw extrusion processes, including: plastic compounding, polymer solution devolatilization and finishing, rubber dewatering and drying, and latex coagulation.• Developed novel extrusion techniques such as continuous supercritical fluid extraction.• Managed pilot R&D lab, including maintaining equipment and directing the activity of technicians.• Conducted laboratory trials for customers and provided on-site customer support including process start-up, troubleshooting, and optimization.• Presented new technologies at technical conferences.• Utilized simulation software for process optimization and problem solving.• Performed sizing calculations to specify equipment for commercial twin screw extrusion systems.• Traveled domestically and internationally to provide customer support.• Prepared project proposals and detailed project documentation.
