In the Dutch navy I started of as a electrician responsible for al navigation lights and galley equipment later I became engine room electrician responsible for the maintenance of the Generators and power management systemsWith this experience I started working for Verolme Shipyard later Keppel Verolme RozenburgIn this period I became electrical supervisor new builds and was responsible for installation of power generation and power management systemsDuring the down turn in the ship building in Holland I started working for Bakker Repair A company, specialist in repairing overhauling Generators, Motor and TransformersMy responsibility was to confirm the faults the client mentioned and test the equipment after repairDuring this period I was building up a lot off contacts and I took the opportunity to start workingAs a free lance Electrical and Instrumentation engineer for Shell BV and I got involved in buildingan LPG offshore/onshore storage and loading station in Sri Lanka this facility was self supportingAnd I was responsible for the power generation package and distribution. After this my offshore career started and I start working on different Shell contracted gas and oil production platforms and ended up in the function of chief electrician for different drilling companies for example R&B Falcon and Noble drilling.During my career with in Nobel I been promoted to Maintenance Supervisor and got involved in some new build projects in Singapore Building Semi Subs for Nobel named Danny Adkins and James Day both DP3 high tech drilling rigs.During this period National Oilwell Varco offered me a job in the function of Installation and Commissioning Manager for all kind of new build projects in Singapore what I am still doing
